I do have a little princess and fully understand how you feel as a mother. I know it's tough, however be strong. There are many people with you, either your family, friends or even strangers. We will keep Charmaine in our prayers. She is a real tough fighter and we will definitely be her weapon!!!

Gathering @ my place

Last Saturday was the yearly gathering with the girls (maybe should say auntie). This year choose my new place (not that new anymore actual fact) so everyone can be more relax. Especially for Geraldine and myself...coz we have kids mah!!! Initial plan is to cook some dishes for them but end up with potluck..pai seh!

Geraldine and me were getting excited about the gathering, not so much of meeting up but towards the food!!! This is the first gathering we are inviting all the husbands and kids, the more the merrier!!
As Matthias loves crabs so do everyone else, Geraldine has bought 3 GIANT crabs from No SignBoard. One of the chilli crab is about 1.8kg, the "kong" is so huge lor..We were teasing Helen that the BEST part of the chilli crab is the gravy, the "kong" is not so fantastic . I have steamed 24 buns for the chilli crabs and almost finished all of them, can imagine how nice it taste?? YuM yum!!! End up the sushi brought by Helen are still lying in the platter. Luckily we cancel the pizza and drumlets, everyone is almost lying flat..FULL!!!! Oh ya, still have the cookies baked by Geraldine, the taste is fantastic!!! Worth the money both of us spent with the chef in Ritz-Carlton

Good thing is Jazzel is quite well behave so i still get some chance to chat to Helen and Geraldine. I am quite surprise she is very shy with the uncles and aunties. Most of the time, she just need a while to warm up and start to be very chatty. She and Kyran also don't play together, think they are still young and don't know how to interact with each other yet. And little sister Ashlynn might feel bored playing with di di and mei mei also...End up 3 kids just play with their own preferred toys..hahahahaaa..

Really had a great time gather together, looking forward for next year gathering at Shangri-la...THE LINE!!!!

2 hours

Yesterday daddy was out for 2 hours to get some food for father's day potluck at MIL place. So left with mommy and Jazzel at home for that 2 hours, it seems pretty long..weird!!

As I want to restrict the time Jazzel watching tv (I find she is watching too much tv), so must use food to distract her. Started with vitagen, she shared abit with me, also dun allowed her to take too much. Then she asked for her recent favourite snack- seaweed. When she saw me eating durian, she also asked for few bites..she likes durian!!!
It's enough of food, must put it a stop. Since daddy is still not back yet, mommy and Jazzel were playing in the toy room. She will be sick of the toy after a few minutes, so keep changing from one to the other...sigh!
It came to Jazzel's napping time, give her a bottle of rose juice and put her to sarong..after a few songs, she fell asleep :)

p/s: while i was busy washing some dishes at the kitchen, this naughty girl secretly took the magic clean..only realised when i out to the living room...HAHHAHAAAA...

SAHM

It's always my dream to be SAHM (Stay At Home Mom),so took a few days leave last week to be SAHM (but some days still send Jazzel to the nanny). I know my character cannot be SAHM, so I come up this new idea and tell dd..

me: dd, think i prefer to stay at home rather than work
dd: hmmm...then Jazzel how? no need to go nanny's place?
me: no lah, still go nanny's place
dd: then what you do?
me: i will still do housework, but not take care of kids
dd: .....

Even mom said I very "cruel" to have this thinking..hahahaaa..

Anyway, during the few days, it kind of bored to stay at home...so bring her to causeway point. She enjoyed the ride so much and refused to get up

Holidays June 09'

This year, I've planned a short trip to Hong Kong as dd's birthday present!!! However, we have changed our mind on last minute due to the threat of H1N1. We took a ferry to Bintan instead of boarding the plane..wooohoooooooo!!!

When arrived Nirwana Resort, we are welcomed by the music and dance at the entrance. The resort's lobby is different from usual hotels, it's open concept and there is no air-conditioning..We can feel the breeze from the sea...shiok!!! After some short check-in processes, we can't wait to see the suite I have booked. It did not disappoint both of us, it's clean and cosy. From the balcony, we can view the pool and the sea..silly us started to imagine this is our villa..wait till strike toto 1st prize lah!!!
Not to waste time, we went to the pool and swear we must get tanned. As I can't swim, so just sit inside the pool to enjoy the "jacuzzi"...nearly sleep off in the pool..nice sun and sea breeze!!! Whenever dd and me saw those kids playing in the pool, we keep saying must bring Jazzel here next time!!! That's the different when become parents when we think back during our pat tor time...hahahahaa...That night, we had dinner at Kelong Restaurant..food just so so but environment quite cooling.

On 2nd day, it was the spotlight of the trip coz it was dd's birthday!!! After enjoying the spread of international breakfast buffet, we continue to laz around in the small island. And definitely we back to the pool again..the weather is hotter than the 1st day..Under the sun is just like in spa, really tak boleh tahan so hide myself in the pool. DD insist I must learn some simple steps to swim..so after some tortured from him, I've managed to float...whhahahahaa!!!
That night, I've found a restaurant which we can have the dinner near the beach...sound romantic ya! To my surprise, the resort arrange a transport for us..really impressed by the service, thumbs up!!! We were excited when reach the restaurant, it looks very cosy from outside. The waiter lead us to our seat which is at outdoor, near the beach. We can hear the waves from time to time, enjoying the sea breeze too!!!! I was telling dd I hope the food will be as nice as the environment..without any disappointment, we enjoyed all the Thai dishes we've ordered!!! It was really a very special nite for us :)

Then come to the last day of bintan trip..we are happy to go home coz really miss our princess!!! As our departure time in afternoon, so decided to explored around the island and of coz take some photos..

Although we have missed our HK trip and definitely there are some disappointment, but dd is right, the most important thing is spend time together, no matter where we are, no matter where we go..Hope dd really enjoy this special birthday present :)

A very happening weekend at Orchard

Orchard was very crowded over the weekends, traffic was horrible!!! We took one hour taxi ride to reach Taka!!! As usual, we had to Q up for lunch, even it's almost 3pm..Good that I can had my favourite 上海小笼包,上海粗炒面, 锅贴(forget about on diet at that moment). Daddy ordered his favourite 海鲜云吞拉面. Jazzel was well behave during the meal, she shared the noodles with mommy and she really love it. When daddy and mommy finished the lunch, Jazzel still unwilling to leave and still point at the noodles . And she was taking her own sweet time to enjoy the noodles, the waiter came to clean up our table but left the noodles and said "慢慢吃". I think Jazzel preferred outside food, she finished 1 hash brown at McD that morning.

After lunch, we walked to Isetan as still have plenty of vouchers to spend . On the way, its very happening along Orchard. Mommy got excited when seeing the Ribena puppets and we being offered to take a free poloroid photo. While daddy and mommy were being so excited to post, Jazzel suddenly cried loudly..oh dear, she was being scared by the puppet lah..so end up 算了吧!! She really 恶人没胆...whahhaaa..

p/s: Mommy tried broccolli with cod fish porridge for Jazzel on Sat and Sun, she finished whole pot of porridge which put a big smile on mommy's face =D
